Our Story & Ethos
We are an all-natural perfumery and artisanal soap house, working in ways that are holistic and circular. We are known for integrating fynbos into our plant-based perfumes and products, offering a unique perspective on the incredible scents and properties of this sacred indigenous biome.

Très began in 2017 as a waking dream in Switzerland: we tended to a magical garden in a little farming community called Vechigen just outside of the historical town of Bern. It was from this garden that we harvested botanicals for our first batch of soap - which was offered at a community market - from there, our seed was planted and grew roots through continued nurturing. Since the start, it’s been an expression of our creativity and love for each other as well as the infinite alchemy of nature.
We’ve been operating from Lalaphanzi Farm in Cape Point for the last 7 years. It has served as a precious landing place for us to grow roots with our community and craft. All of our products are handmade on the farm in small batches with ingredients that are sourced with sustainability and purity at the heart of it; we work with pure essential oils, resins, woods, and raw botanicals (some of which are grown in our own backyard). We are dedicated to a production cycle that is regenerative and conscious: dive deeper into this in our sustainability insight. We are passionate about working in harmony with the Earth and all of her inhabitants.
When it comes to perfumery, we navigate the formulating process guided by our senses, intuition and whispers of visions. So much of the magic happens in slowness and surrender, and we honour the crucial role that time plays in this alchemy (some scents are in formulation for over a year). Each perfume has a unique composition, origin story and process of creation. Our fragrances become their own personality and it brings us great joy to match them with each customer (read more about the personality of scent).
Our range is ever expanding and represents our appreciation for a dynamic variety of cultures, languages and ideas.
Our intention with Très is to nurture pathways of wholeness, balance and regeneration both internally and externally. We believe holistic skincare is a medium to incorporate ancient wisdom in contemporary ways. We practice moving consciously with the seasons, cycles and circadian rhythms which occur throughout all of existence.
We have an ever-changing form, offering diversely alchemised treasures for skin and spirit. Each product is a contemplative invitation and action, to nurture, to guide, to restore, awakening a remembrance of the beauty that you are.
BEHIND OUR NAME
"Très" means "very" in french.
The word "Nagual" [pronounced nah-gwahl] comes from a lineage of ancient wisdom which moved through the first peoples of North and South America. From this cosmology, an inner diamond was drawn, which illustrates the different worlds we inhabit. The world of material objects (tonal) and the non-material world (nagual).
"Nagual" points to an understanding that all things arise from the mystery. A meta-physical realm. The unseen.
Since Florian was born in Morocco, French words stuck to him like a love-song. David was in training with this lineage of teachings, and we wanted to move with a name which honours the feminine which all things arise from. Hence, "very unseen" or "very mysterious" would be a loose translation.
