Someone once said ‘a name is the shortest poem’. Well, meet the poetry of Boudica. She joined our team many moons ago with a wild first adventure! We journeyed for our first pop-up of the White Lotus at Pangea festival back in 2022. As a Virgo her practical, down-to-earth personality became a grounded voice within Tres. Her patience is reliable.
Boudica is defined by the way she moves through life in terms of her awareness - how she interacts with life's unfolding - by her sensitivity and receptivity, and by the lifetimes that she has lived before this one. She goes deep into the layers of the intricate complexity of human existence, which is too vast to summarise. We had a chat with Boudica about life within the Tres universe, creating with words and feeling. We’ve been weaving together for a while now, and we’re excited to finally introduce her as our in-house poet & online editor.
What do you love about Très?
I love anything that is closely interlinked with or made of nature, and Très is a powerful, unique expression of this, so I love the concept as a whole. The softness found in Très and the expansiveness of scent that I have been able to explore is also something that I adore. The way of being that Très calls for is deeply moving, and I love how this is reflected in the web of Très’ community. The ways of David and Flo also bring me deep joy to witness and engage with. I’m very honoured to weave words for Très in the way that I do, and I love this niche too. Honestly, there is immense love to be found in many, many aspects of Très Nagual - it truly bubbles with it and grows from it!
Why do you create with words?
Words are one of the most powerful mediums of expression in our world, and to truly harness them is to unlock the depth of what it means to articulate. There is such potency in drawing out texture, feeling and tone from something that is almost intangible. It is my favourite artform and one that I find my honest truth in. I feel that my way with words is part of my essence - it is where I find wholeness.
What’s your scent of the moment?
I have two! Ambær was my first love in Très; a beautifully sensual, musky, soft, sweet scent that I wear when I feel more inward and intimate. She is my heart fragrance. Myra is my second love and my home fragrance. I wear her on most days; a musky, earthy, spicy scent profile that resonates with my core. They both have similarities but are also vastly different and connect me to different dimensions of who I am - I love the polarity!
What is the feeling of Très for you?
The feeling of Très for me is mystery and vision. I have learned that many of Très’ processes are intuitive and free-form, especially with perfume. There is much mystery and wonder in this. Très holds a lot of vision too: vision for the future, vision for consciousness, vision for coexisting with Earth energies. There is really a lot of space and possibility in Très; it has a lightness to it that is sustained from within.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I actually don’t know. I have dreams and future ambitions, but I realised early on to release expectations attached to a timeline in life. Everything is always changing and in motion, especially in these unprecedented times. I practice moving with the wind and being fluid with it all, becoming and unbecoming. Currently, I’m pursuing what feels aligned with my artistic energy, and who knows where that will take me. I am open and content with being with what is, right now.
